However, if not managed and implemented properly, there can be issues with ineffective communication, inaccuracies in data, and workflow processes (Howick et al., 2024). To address this, one next step suggested is to develop a nurse informatics role that will support communication and ultimately the care of the patient. The nurse informatics will have a great influence on ROI and patient safety within health care organizations, and the presented proposal gives a glimpse of this.
